About
Born in Šempeter pri Gorici, Slovenia, and based in Ljubljana, Martina Batič has built an international career defined by refined musicianship and generous artistic leadership. Her work moves across symphonic choral music, contemporary repertoire, sacred works and a cappella traditions.
After studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and a master's degree in choral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, where she graduated with distinction, her 2006 Eric Ericson Award marked a decisive international breakthrough.
Artistic Vision
Listening is not passive. It is the beginning of responsibility, communication and musical transformation.
Her artistic work is grounded in curiosity, discipline and human connection: why choirs matter, how professional ensembles develop their shared sound, and how music can carry beauty without losing urgency.
Gesture
In rehearsal and performance, Martina's work is carried through attention, breath, hands and trust: a language of precision that opens space for singers to respond together.
